We are seeking a full time, entry level day shift Diesel Fleet Mechanic for our transportation group, CICKO Transportation. We are seeking a full time, entry level day shift Diesel Fleet Mechanic for our transportation group, CICKO Transportation. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Perform minor repairs on trucks and trailers
- Diagnose and repair wiring for lights
- Fix air leaks in braking systems
- Replace brake components including drums
- Change and rotate tires as needed
- Move trailers around the lot safely and efficiently
- Shuttle vehicles to and from dealerships or service locations
- Wash and detail trucks and trailers
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience in a shop or with vehicle maintenance is a plus, but not required
